Treasurer Support RDA Te Aroha - (Home Based Role)

We know this role can be a little overwhelming, which is why we’re looking for someone happy to share the workload with our Treasurer. If you have the time and the experience, your time and effort will go a long way with our little organisation.

Your key responsibilities in this role will be

  • Support the Treasurer with preparation of the annual budget, financial reports, annual performance report, and financial statements.
  • Assist with audits or reviews as required by the Group Constitution.
  • Help complete the annual return and accounts filing with Charities Services and NZRDA.
  • Support day-to-day financial accounting, including:
  • Maintaining accurate income and expenditure records.
  • Generating invoices and ensuring prompt banking of received funds.
  • Managing outstanding debts, approvals, and payments.
  • Completing financial paperwork and reporting on time.
  • Managing investments and maintaining records of financial members.
  • Maintaining the asset and equipment register.
  • Reimbursing approved expenses.
Requirements:
  • Must be a New Zealand citizen or resident.
  • Experience with financial administration tasks.
  • Experience producing financial reports.
  • Experience creating and maintaining budgets, including forecasting, actuals, and trend analysis.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • Prepare reports for Committee meetings (monthly).
  • Around 10 hours per month during riding terms supporting the Treasurer.
  • About 5 days per year for annual financial statements and related administration.
