Mr. I is looking for someone who can help him brush up on his bass guitar skills. He used to play in a band quite a while ago and hasn't played at all for about a year. He described his current skill level as 'basic' and said he can 'play a few chords'. He wants to learn to play fluently, so he can hold his own with other musicians in jam sessions.

Location

  • Hamilton
  • Mr. I's home is not suitable for sessions, so the ideal volunteer will be happy to have him come to their home
  • Alternatively, a free community venue would be another option if the volunteer knows of somewhere
Requirements:

Skills required:

  • Can play bass guitar well
  • Able to teach/show another person how to play
  • Motivated and friendly character
  • Reliable and committed to 2 hours per week
  • Patient and empathetic, a genuine care for others
  • Good communicator
  • Volunteer must have their own guitar and be willing to teach Mr. I in volunteer's own home, or another suitable place.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • Two hours per week.
