Interactionz - Community
Interactionz is a charity with a social purpose, which means we are working for community good. Established in the 1950s, we have lots of experience of working with people with disabilities. Our vision is "Everyone is important. Everyone is valued. Everyone has a place of belonging in their communities.
We recognise that not all people have the same opportunities to access and be included in the life of their communities, and we seek to address this need by facilitating opportunities that help people both explore and experience what they want from life and contribute to building communities where everyone can thrive.
Our values are Courage, Equity, Learning and Manaakitanga.
Interactionz uses the Enabling Good Lives principles in our daily practice and believe that a good life involves doing everyday things in everyday places with everyday people at everyday times. We use everyday community members as volunteers to accompany the people we serve on their journey to a good life, participating and contributing in mainstream community settings.
