Front Desk Crew – Huntly Museum
Want to be part of something new and exciting? Huntly Museum opens its doors in October, and this is a great opportunity to join our Front Desk Crew!

Spend 2–3 hours greeting visitors, answering questions, and keeping things running smoothly on weekday afternoons or Saturdays. Most volunteers help once or twice a month, and all training is provided.

Requirements:
  • Good communication skills and a welcoming manner
  • Patient and helpful, especially with questions or first-time visitors
  • Able to work independently when needed, but also part of a team
  • Punctual and dependable — shifts run smoothly when everyone turns up
  • Attention to detail for handling money, tickets, or visitor info
  • Interest in local history or museums is a bonus, but not essential
  • You don’t need any prior experience — we have a simple EFTPOS system and provide all the training you’ll need.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • Typical shift is 2–3 hours, working alongside another volunteer
  • Available on weekday afternoons or Saturdays
  • Shifts run between 10am and 4pm
