Volunteer Opportunity: Chef's Night Out – Support Hospice Waikato
We are looking for volunteers to assist with waiting tables at our annual fundraiser, The Chef’s Night Out.

Event Details:

  • Date: 13 July 2025
  • Location: St Pauls Collegiate, Hukanui Rd, Hamilton
  • Time: Approximately 5:30pm – 10:30pm
  • Role: Serve a degustation dinner and drinks to guests throughout the evening.

About the Event:
Chef’s Night Out raises between $12,000 and $15,000 each year to support Hospice Waikato, helping care for people in our community.
It’s a fun, lively, and rewarding night — but please note, it can be busy and you will be on your feet for most of the event.

What You Need to Know:

  • Dress code: We will provide dress code instructions and there are aprons to be worn at the event.
  • Training: A short briefing will be provided before the event begins.
  • Perks: Volunteers will be warmly thanked and provided with light refreshments during the evening.

Requirements:
  • Reliable and friendly, with a positive attitude.
  • Well-presented – dress code instructions will be provided (aprons will be supplied on the night).
  • Able to follow instructions and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team to deliver a great experience for guests.
  • Physically able to be on your feet and active throughout the evening.
  • Good communication skills – able to interact politely with guests and team members.
  • Punctual – arriving on time for the event briefing and shift start.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • 5.30pm -10.30pm
