Join Our Team: Volunteer Accountant for Waikato Rocks Trust
Waikato Rocks Trust is a vibrant charity that empowers young people through music, dance, celebrating the rich tapestry of multiculturalism within our community. Sadly, our beloved volunteer Accountant is stepping down due to unforeseen family circumstances and we’re seeking a new Accountant to help manage our financials remotely and to be part of our small, but mighty team!

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare Annual Financial Statements
  • Handle GST returns

  • Ensure financial practices remain transparent and robust.

Requirements:
  • A friendly person with a big heart to help the community.
  • Experience in accounting, tax returns and preparing annual financial statements for a charitable organisation.
  • You must have your computer and broadband to perform these tasks. We can support you with any software.
Time commitment:
  • Less than two hours a month would be sufficient.
  • December and January will have about ten payments due to Christmas at the Lake event.

These are the only busy times of the year. The financial statement is critical because we need to submit it to the Charities NZ to keep our membership going.
