Blind Low Vision Hamilton are looking for dynamic volunteers to help out at our Central Hamilton Support Group. These groups are vital for our Blind Low Vision Community as they assist our members to connect with people that they can relate to in a safe and fun social environment.

As a volunteer driver, you’ll play a vital role by safely transporting members to and from our twice-weekly sessions, helping them stay engaged and connected.

What's involved?

  • Providing a friendly pick up and drop off service for our members
  • Driving service, once or twice a week for just a few hours
  • You are welcome to get involved and join us at our sessions!
Requirements:
  • Your own reliable vehicle with current WOF & Reg
  • A full, clean NZ driver's license
  • Honest and reliable
  • Eager to be engaged and support our people
  • Can commit to attending on a regular basis
  • Volunteer induction, background check is required (we can arrange this)

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • Mondays and/or Thursdays | 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM (either or both days work!)
