Creative Support Partner – Art & Craft (Hamilton)

Hamilton

Miss S is a sparkly, social woman in her early 40s who lives for craft days, colourful projects, and a good laugh. She's into diamond art, knitting, and just about anything that lets her create something beautiful. She's also living with physical and intellectual disability—and that’s just part of her story, not the whole one.

She’s looking for someone to sit beside her (literally), share the joy of making, and help her bring her ideas to life. Sometimes that means hands-on help, other times it’s encouragement, ideas, or a second pair of eyes. Most importantly, it means being present—with kindness, patience, and a big ol’ sense of humour.

This isn’t a job for someone who wants to "manage" or "direct"—Miss S already knows what she likes. What she needs is a creative companion. Someone who gets the satisfaction of a finished row of stitches, who doesn’t mind redoing the fiddly bits, and who believes that art is about how it makes you feel as much as how it looks.

You won’t be alone—there’s always support staff on-site, and some of Miss S’s friends nearby too. It’s a lively, supportive space where everyone is working toward something meaningful.
