Join our friendly Morrinsville Hospice Shop team!
We’re looking for a few friendly volunteers to help out in our shop. No experience? No problem, you’ll be welcomed straight into our team and supported every step of the way. Full training is provided, and our volunteers and staff make the shop friendly and fun.

The tasks that will keep you on your toes are:

  • Keeping our linen and clothing areas organised, sorting and pricing donated items
  • Helping on the shop floor, chatting with customers and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere

This isn’t just volunteering, your time helps us keep the shop running so we can raise funds for our patients, while giving you the chance to make new friends, be part of a lively team, and have something purposeful to do each week.

Requirements:
  • Friendly and approachable, enjoys meeting and helping people
  • Able to work as part of a supportive team
  • Reliable and punctual and able to commit to 1 or 2 shifts per week
  • Comfortable standing, moving, and helping with sorting or tidying items
  • Willing to learn, full training provided

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • Weekly shifts 1 or 2 per week depending on your availability
  • Weekdays: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm (4hrs)
  • Saturdays: 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm (3hrs)
