Museum Raffle Coordinator

This role will entail the following tasks. Sourcing raffle goods: Actively seeking donations from local businesses, individuals, and organisations. Building relationships with potential donors and developing a network of supporters. Evaluating the suitability and value of donated items for raffle prizes. Maintaining a record of all donations received and ensuring proper acknowledgment.
Raffle prize preparation: Creating attractive and informative descriptions for each raffle item. Packaging prizes in visually appealing ways to enhance their value.
Assisting with the setup and breakdown of the raffle table at Market Day.
Promotion and sales: Helping raise awareness about the raffle at Market Day through promotional materials and engaging with attendees. Assisting with the sale of raffle tickets during Market Day events. Tracking ticket sales and maintaining accurate records.
Reporting: Preparing post-event reports on raffle performance, including revenue generated and donor engagement. Expressing gratitude to donors and ticket purchasers. Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes for future raffles.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Creative and resourceful in sourcing and presenting raffle prizes.

Time commitment:

A Market Day table is set up outside the museum on the first Saturday of each month ( excluding January) from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm. This role will require the volunteer to provide 4 - 5 raffles per year. Raffle tickets are usually sold over two months. The estimated preparation time before each Market Day will vary but in general, will be four to five hours every two months.
