Volunteer Secretary Role:
Do you have 2-3 hours per week to support an established group dedicated to working with the disability sector and the wider community? This role offers a rewarding opportunity to collaborate closely with our Trustees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend monthly meetings and actively participate.
  • Record discussions and action points during meetings and prepare meeting notes.
  • Distribute meeting notes to the board via email.
  • Prepare and send out meeting agendas 10 days prior to each meeting.
  • Plan and coordinate the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in collaboration with the Chairperson.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining records for policies and other important documents.
  • Manage a Cloud database for volunteer information, police checks, health and safety issues, and company records.
  • Coordinate with Interlocknz’s Chairperson and Hautapu Clubrooms to arrange booking times for the facilities.
Requirements:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Successful completion of a NZ Police check.
  • Strong interest in supporting the welfare and well-being of individuals in the disability sector.
  • Proficient in English, with excellent comprehension and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
  • Strong skills in data recording, organization, and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience in spreadsheet management.
  • Familiarity with MYOB or Xero accounting software.

A Police background check is required for this role.
