Go Eco (Waikato Environment Centre) is the Waikato's largest environment hub; we are a voice for the environment, a centre for learning and a catalyst for change. We provide community education, collaborate with and support regional environmental groups, explore the impact of colonisation on the environment, and operate a Bike Hub and Food Rescue Service.
We are on the lookout for volunteers who can drive our manual truck to pick up rescued food and deliver it to Free-Stores around our city and region. As well as time spent driving, this is a physical role. Drivers and assistants will need to be able to physically lift / carry heavy items and be able to climb in and out of a truck without issue.
We are a team who enjoy laughs and a positive work environment which runs on supporting each other. You'll be part of a network who are helping to redistribute food to people who need it, while reducing the emissions created from sending food to landfill.
Please indicate in your reply whether you are applying to be a Driver or Driver Assistant. Thank you!
