Go Eco Food Rescue Drivers and Assistants are on the road five days a week, picking up surplus food around Kirikiriroa and delivering to local Free Stores.
Here’s how a shift usually goes:
Our Food Rescue service is our largest climate action project – rescuing food that would otherwise go to waste and redistributing it across the city every day. Volunteers play a huge role in rescuing over 370,000kgs a year.
You’ll need comfortable clothing and closed in shoes (hi vis provided).
No minimum shift commitment - ideally, once a week or a fortnight.
