Community Drivers

Paeroa

Volunteer Drivers is a service that transports clients door to door to appointments at Thames and Waikato hospitals, funded by Waikato District Health Board. This is a supportive and confidential service. We are looking to increase our team of drivers.
You will need to have your own vehicle and a full driver’s license to volunteer. Training will be provided.
Vehicle expenses are reimbursed. A Police check is mandatory, as is being double vaccinated..
This service operates under the umbrella of the Paeroa Community Support Trust.
The Paeroa Community Support Trust aims “To be a Regional Resource Centre serving children, youth, families and seniors and impacting our community for the Heartland of Hauraki and Coromandel”. The PCST is in the 26th year of supporting all members of the community, especially those at risk of social and /or financial pressure.

Requirements:

Must pass a police check and be fully vaccinated. We are looking for people who are patient, reliable, empathetic and who drive responsible.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Flexible commitment as you are only needed when drives come in.
Would need to be available for occasional meetings with the team.
