Every hour you give helps local families receive free hospice care and keeps good-quality items out of landfill. Matamata locals donate amazing items every day, and we’re looking for friendly, hands-on volunteers from the area to help give those treasures a second life. Your time and energy will be valued, and you’ll be part of a team that cares about the community and each other.

What the Role Involves:

  • Sorting donated items and getting them ready for the shop floor.
  • Working alongside a small, supportive team of local volunteers.
  • Helping keep things running smoothly, the role includes some bending, lifting, and time on your feet

By supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, your volunteering directly contributes to global efforts and creates a meaningful impact right here in Matamata.

Requirements:
  • You are reliable and committed to the cause
  • You have a reasonable level of fitness (bending and lifting required)
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Community-minded and understands the importance these donations make for us!

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • 2-4 hours a week
  • Opportunities available Monday - Friday
