Table tennis coach

Waikeria Prison

Waikeria Prison has several residential units with table tennis in their recreation rooms. There's is a good number of men interested in playing, and maybe learning new techniques and skills. Maybe run a monthly competition or leader board. We are looking for an individual to come in and spend some time helping the men learn new skills.

We are not on a public transport route, so own transport necessary, as well as understanding table tennis. Ideally you are encouraging, patient, and enjoy sharing your skills. If you have lots of initiative and ideas on how to make this activity more interesting for our players, we'd love to hear from you.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

2-4 hours per week
