  • You’ll be working alongside a small group of Tane (Māori men), introducing them to the basics of raranga (traditional weaving).
  • Most participants will be beginners, though a few may have some prior experience.
  • This is a wonderful opportunity to share your skills, connect through creativity, and support Tane in exploring this meaningful cultural art form.
Requirements:
  • Experience with flax weaving (raranga) and an understanding of the cultural protocols associated with it.
  • Expertise or formal qualifications are not required—enthusiasm and willingness to share are what matter most!

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
