Our aim is to collect and preserve the history of the region to the highest standard possible, to make the information available to the public in the easiest and most secure way and to facilitate the aims of The Coromandel Heritage Trust. The Treasury Provides a heritage and archival repository for the Thames-Coromandel and Hauraki Districts. It operates as an active heritage and genealogy research centre. The Treasury will protect and preserve material donated to it. As well as this we offer research assistance, feature displays, have a meeting room and publish books covering the past of the district.
We are looking for part time volunteers who can welcome our visitors with a smile and help point them in the right direction. We're currently looking for people who can help us on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and/or Saturdays.
Are you looking to share your whizz bang design talents and time for a feel-good purpose? We have many amazing stories to share but could really do with some help to present them in a visually interesting way.
The Treasury is a research centre & archive that collects, preserves & promotes the history and heritage of the area. Assist researchers who visit with locating relevant documentary heritage materials and resources within our collection.
