Spread Christmas Cheer with Vinnies & The Hits
The Hits Toy Run is an annual charitable event hosted by The Hits (Waikato 98.6FM) and St Vincent de Paul (Vinnies) to collect donations of new and pre-loved toys for children in need in the Waikato region during the festive season. The Toy Run bus travels to various locations, including schools and businesses, to collect toys, which are then distributed to deserving children for Christmas.

We are in need of some corporate teams and groups wanting to spread Christmas cheer by preparing our Centre to receive and distribute donated toys to our families.

Toy Run Bus Delivery Day - 8th December
We are needing a team of ten to help off load the bus on the 8th December at our main centre in Frankton. Teams needs to be able to commit to a 2-3 hour shift to help with:

• Offloading donations from the bus
• Stacking and preparing donations for distribution
• Ensuring all donations are presented well for collection.

This is a one-day team volunteering opportunity that requires a few strong people to lend a hand!

Daily Toy Distribution - from 9th through to 19th December
We need 2 to 4 volunteers each day to help distribute toys throughout the week to families that have booked in to collect toys.

What You Will Do:

• Managing the distribution of toys to families at collection.
• Families arrive in 15 minute intervals to maximise the hours in the day and to get more presents distributed daily.
• Each child in the family receives one toy, one teddy and one book.
• Shifts run from 9am to 3pm daily.
• You must be able to commit to at least ONE 2 hour shift.

This is a daily team volunteering opportunity running from 9th through to 19th December. We will have a roster for volunteers keen to help out.
