Do you love sport and want a team volunteering role that's super FUN!?
This one-day event is all about bringing people together – former refugees from places like Afghanistan, Colombia, Syria, and more, uniting with locals through the power of futsal (that’s 5-a-side football, by the way!). It’s an exciting way to break barriers, build friendships, and keep the "Jambo" spirit alive.

ROC’s mission is simple: we want former refugees thriving, not just surviving. This means creating strong support networks, financial independence, and a welcoming community for all.

Why Volunteer?
As a volunteer, you’ll:

  • Boost your event management skills
  • ork with a diverse, high-energy team
  • Learn cross-cultural communication while making a real difference.

What We Need:

  • Reception Hosts: Be the friendly face that kicks things off and helps keep the vibe going.
  • Referees: Keep the game fun and fair while ensuring the matches stay exciting.
  • Refreshment Crew: Make sure players stay hydrated and ready to go – you’ll also be the go-to for any medical needs.

It’s a great chance to get involved, have fun, and gain hands-on experience, all while supporting a meaningful cause and helping former refugees feel at home in Hamilton.

Requirements:
  • Access to transport to and from the event.
  • A reliable and friendly attitude.
  • Referees - Need to have refereed Futsal or Football games before and have good knowledge of the game.
  • Refreshment Crew - Basic knowledge of first aid (e.g. how to bandage wounds, ice bruises)
