Volunteer Graphic Designer - Event Pop Up Project

Home Based, Hamilton

At Here 2 Care Charitable Trust, we’re launching a world-first pop-up event in Hamilton in 2026. It's set to be bold, immersive, and unforgettable! As part of a charitable organisation, this project will also contribute to fundraising efforts, making it a chance to do meaningful creative work while supporting a good cause.

We’re looking for a creative and versatile Graphic Designer to help define the visual identity of this groundbreaking event. You’ll work closely with our team to design branding, marketing materials, and visual assets that capture the excitement, uniqueness, and energy of the pop-up experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design the event’s brand identity: logo, typography, colour palette, and visual language
  • Produce marketing materials: posters, social media graphics, banners, and signage
  • Create maps, diagrams, and visitor guides for the event
  • Prepare artwork for print, large-format signage, merchandise, and digital platforms
  • Support the creation of pitch documents, sponsorship decks, and media packs.

This role is perfect for a university student or early-career designer who wants hands-on experience with a large-scale event, portfolio-building opportunities, and the chance to contribute to a truly one-of-a-kind project.

At this stage, this role is volunteer-based, but there may be opportunities for paid work in the future. We are happy to provide a reference upon completion of project.

Requirements:
  • Studying or experienced in graphic design or a related field
  • Creative, versatile, and able to develop a cohesive visual identity
  • Confident with digital design tools (Adobe Creative Suite or similar)
  • Interested in building a portfolio through a high-profile, hands-on project
  • Enthusiastic, collaborative, and keen to make a real impact.
Time commitment:
  • Flexible hours, approximately 10 hours per week (on-going)
