Make a difference these school holidays by supporting our team to deliver a dynamic and inclusive programme for children. This volunteer role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with kids, being organised, and bringing creative ideas to life and will cater to children aged 5-12 years old.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver daily activities in alignment with the programme’s goals and values.
  • Supervise and support children and young people to ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience.
  • Liaise with families, staff, and community partners as needed.
  • Oversee logistics such as attendance records, activity schedules, transport coordination, and refreshments.
  • Promote wellbeing, cultural respect, and positive engagement among participants.
  • Support evaluation and reporting by collecting feedback and attendance data.
  • Uphold the organisation’s policies on child safety, equity, and health and safety.

This programme runs once every school holidays for a period of 5 consecutive days from Monday to Friday and is typically held in the first week of the school holidays, except for in January. The programme runs from 9am-3:30pm.

Requirements:
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience working with children, youth, or community groups (preferred but not essential).
  • Positive, energetic, and adaptable attitude.
  • Ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly when working with diverse communities.
  • Commitment to the organisation’s values of inclusion, respect, and wellbeing.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • Every school holidays from Monday to Friday, 9am-3:30pm
  • Term-based depending on your availability.

This role could also involve some planning time (approximately 2-4 hours per week), with support from a ROC office liaison.
