BBQ Crew Volunteers Wanted!
Do you love cooking on the BBQ and being part of a fun, lively evening? Join Cambridge Junior Athletics on Wednesday Club Nights in the summer months during school terms to help feed our young athletes and their cheering families. Enjoy the social atmosphere, meet great people, and make a positive impact in your community.

What Helping Out Looks Like::

  • Fire up the BBQ and cook sausages while the kids dash around the track
  • Serve up sausages and juicies to excited kids and hungry families
  • Keep the area tidy and the good vibes flowing
  • Enjoy a fun, friendly club-night atmosphere!
  • Come and be part of a fun, supportive community. Enjoy great conversations while helping at a lively, local event.
Requirements:
  • Someone who enjoys cooking on a BBQ and serving others
  • Friendly, approachable, and great with kids and families
  • Loves being part of a community event and enjoys good conversation
  • Reliable to help out on Wednesday evenings (weather permitting)
  • Has basic food handling awareness
  • Comfortable being outdoors and on your feet
  • Brings a positive attitude and community spirit
Time commitment:

During School Term Only:

  • Now – 10 December 2025
  • Resumes 4 February – 18 March 2026

When:

  • Wednesday evenings, 4.30pm – 7.30pm

  • 4.30pm – 7.30pm
  • 4.30pm – 6.00pm
  • 6.00pm – 7.30pm

Where:

  • Athletics Park, corner of Vogel Street and Hamilton Road, Cambridge
