Volunteer Linen Sorter - Home-Based

Home Based

Habitat for Humanity has a vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Our ReStore and Reuse charity shops raise vital funds that help people buy, repair, or rent a place to call home.

We’re looking for a volunteer Linen Sorter to help us sort, fold, label, and price donations of second-hand linen, ready to go on the shelves for sale. You can do this from home in your own time (you’ll need to pick up and drop back the linen during store hours), or come and hang out with our friendly team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Measure linens for size
  • Fold and package matching sets
  • Correctly label and price linen
  • Merchandise and display stock, and keep our linen area looking great (if working in store)

This is an awesome opportunity to help support people in housing need in our community.

Requirements:
  • An eye for detail, able to measure things with accuracy
  • Ability to collect and return linens during store hours (we’re open 7 days: 8-4 Mon-Sat, and 9-4 Sun).
  • Reliable and dependable
Time commitment:
  • Around 2 hours a week measuring, sorting, and pricing.
  • Flexible to work from home or in store.
  • Additional hours available in store if you’re interested in doing more!

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
