Help Shape The Future of Our Rangatahi
The Refugee Orientation Centre (ROC) Trust is seeking 22-25-year-old change-makers to guide and inspire high school students from migrant and refugee backgrounds through guided mentoring programmes.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver a guided mentoring programme for high school students with migrant or refugee backgrounds
  • Work alongside a facilitator who will provide coaching during sessions
  • Mentor high school students helping them discover their voices
  • Build students' confidence and encourage them to explore ways to shape their future.

Requirements:
  • Must be aged between 22–25 years old.
  • High energy, empathetic, and compassionate towards youth.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Reliability and commitment to agreed hours of 4 hours a week.
  • Passion for making a difference in your community and in the lives of others.
  • Previous youth work or mentoring experience is great, but not essential as training is provided.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • 4 hours per week, over 10 weeks.
  • Approx. 12 sessions over those 10 weeks, including both mentor learning sessions and youth engagement activities.
