Funding & Grants Support Volunteer
Enjoy researching or writing and want to put those skills to good use?
Join our team as a volunteer and help us find the funding that keeps community projects moving forward.

You’ll help find funding opportunities and write the words that tell our story — all while learning how funding works in the nonprofit space or deepening the skills you already have.

Here’s what you’ll be helping with:

  • Researching grants, tenders, awards, and other opportunities
  • Assisting with writing and editing applications
  • Helping prepare supporting documents or basic budgets (if that’s your thing)
  • We work together online, with regular check-ins, support, and a flexible approach that fits around your life and other commitments.

Here’s who we think this role would suit:

  • You already have some skills in this area and want to put them to good use
  • You’re the kind of person who spots little details others overlook and you actually enjoy fine-tuning them
  • You care about supporting your community and being part of something that creates real, positive change
  • You’re studying or working in writing, research, comms, or admin or just love organizing ideas and information
  • You’re looking to build your skills or want to use your existing experience to make a difference
Requirements:
  • An interest in writing, research, or helping communities grow and thrive
  • Good written English and a keen eye for details
  • Comfort working on your own and staying in touch online
  • No need to have formal grant writing experience — we’ll support and guide you every step of the way!
Time commitment:
  • Flexible hours to fit your schedule
  • Around 3–5 hours per week, depending on projects and your availability
