Committee Member - Neighbourhood Support Hamilton

Hamilton

Who We Are:
Neighbourhood Support Hamilton Inc. is a registered charity (incorporated society) which manages Neighbourhood Support street groups in the city of Hamilton. We help neighbourhoods come together to be more connected, watch out for one another and help prevent crime from happening. We work closely with NZ Police, HCC and other community organisations. Volunteering with Neighbourhood Support Hamilton is extremely rewarding as you can help better your neighbourhood, and many neighbourhoods all over Hamilton.

About The Role:
We are seeking a motivated committee member (voluntary position) to join the Management Committee. The committee employs our staff, sets the strategic direction of the organisation, governs spending and finances and participates in events held or attended by the organisation.

No specific experience is necessary, but if you do have experience with boards/committee/governance or with other voluntary organisations that would be a plus.

The current committee consists of the Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, NZ Police Liaison officer, Hamilton City Council representative and up to five other committee members.
