Cambridge Tree Trust - Tree Enthusiast

Cambridge

Tree Planters and Plant Nursery Helpers Wanted!
Love fresh air, good company, and seeing things grow (including your muscles)?
Join us in planting and caring for beautiful native and exotic trees around Cambridge.

Prefer to stay closer to home base?
We’ve got plenty of work at our nursery too — growing, potting up, and generally giving shrubs and trees a great start in life.

No experience needed — just a willingness to get your hands a little dirty (and maybe tell a few good stories while you’re at it!).
Come along — it’s cheaper than a gym membership and twice as satisfying!

Requirements:

You need to:

  • Be reasonably fit (or at least willing to pace yourself like a seasoned pro).
  • Enjoy working alongside others — good laughs included.
  • Bring a good sense of humour (bad jokes welcome).
  • Enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and getting your hands deliciously dirty.
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude (grumbling allowed — but only between tea breaks).
Time commitment:

About the Groups:

  • We have two groups: Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • You can join either one — or both if you’re extra keen!
  • Start time is 9.00 am year-round (summer and winter).
  • We usually head back to our base around 11.00 am.
  • There’s always time for a well-earned coffee and a good chinwag afterwards.

The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
