As a Sewing, Recycling, and Repurposing Enthusiast, you’ll be an integral part of our team. Your mission is to create and inspire! Whether it’s mending clothing, repurposing fabrics, or turning discarded items into treasures, you’ll use your creativity and practical skills to enhance our shop offerings and foster sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sewing and Mending: Repair and upcycle donated clothing and textiles to extend their life and value.
  • Creative Repurposing: Transform donated items into new, saleable creations, such as decor, fashion pieces, or functional products.
  • Sustainability Advocacy: Promote recycling and environmentally conscious practices among customers and donors.
  • Customer Engagement: Share your passion for repurposing with customers, offering advice and inspiration for their own projects.
  • Inventory Collaboration: Work alongside the team to identify items suitable for repurposing and help showcase them attractively.

Requirements:
  • Strong sewing skills and an eye for detail.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in repurposing items.
  • Knowledge or interest in sustainable practices and recycling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with the community.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • Minimum of 2-4hrs per week (flexible hours)
  • Some work can be done from home.
