Volunteer Workshop Leader – Rockit Crew

We’re looking for enthusiastic, dedicated volunteers to manage our Rockit Crew workshops for young adults aged 16-30 with special needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of young people while working in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment.

As a Workshop Leader, you will have the chance to lead activities that promote socialisation, entertainment, and skill-building through music, dance, and life skills exercises. Volunteers will manage the workshop independently, with training and support provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead weekly workshops featuring music, dance, and social activities
  • Create a positive, inclusive environment for self-expression and skill development
  • Ensure safety and wellbeing while encouraging socialisation
  • Foster connections among participants, promoting confidence and learning

  • A genuine passion for working with young people with special needs
  • Ability to manage a group independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to Monday evenings during term time

Time commitment:
  • Commitment to Monday evenings from 6.30pm - 8pm
  • Willingness to commit to 8-week terms
