We’re looking for enthusiastic Predator-Free Volunteers to help maintain trap lines in Cambridge!

We need new volunteers for two trap lines: along Soldiers Track in Leamington (between the two bridges) and around Leamington Reserve-Cemetery. This is ideal for those who enjoy walking regularly and live nearby.

🦇 Make a Difference: If you’re passionate about protecting our native birds, bats, lizards, and insects, this is a wonderful way to contribute!
🗓️ Flexible Roster: Volunteers are scheduled every 3-4 weeks. During your rostered week, you'll rebait traps with non-toxic bait (like peanut butter), clear out predator remains, and reset traps at least once that week. Each session takes about 1 to 1.5 hours.
🥜 All Supplies and Training Provided: No experience needed! We’ll provide the non-toxic bait and full training.
📱 Smartphone Needed: You’ll use the Trap.NZ app to locate traps and log catches. A moderate fitness level is recommended.
