The Rural Youth and Adult Literacy Trust (RYALT) is seeking a dedicated volunteer literacy coach to provide valuable support to an adult student in need. As a Literacy Coach, you can give back and make a real difference in someone's life. It's a fulfilling and enjoyable role that allows you to share your love for learning while empowering others to reach their full potential.
What we're looking for:
We welcome individuals with or without teaching experience, as we provide comprehensive training and ongoing support.
We provide the training required to be able to coach students and create a personalized learning plan. You work together to develop goals and select materials and activities to help learners reach their goals.
Your enthusiasm, patience, and commitment are what matter most.
1-2 hours per week meeting at the local Whitianga library.
