The main responsibilities will include:

Performing routine maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry work, general maintenance tasks
Identifying hazards, issues and report on potential repairs or improvements needed
Understanding of and commitment to the organisation’s vision and mission
Maintaining facility equipment and storage areas.
Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines while performing all tasks.

Requirements:

This role requires:

Proven experience as a handyperson, maintenance technician, or similar role
Basic understanding of maintenance systems
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management and organisational abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as required

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

1-2 hours per week (we are very flexible on the day of the week)
