As a respite caregiver, you will need:
No experience is needed, but we need reliable respite caregivers, and previous experience working with tamariki and rangatahi is an advantage.
Respite caregivers with Kia Puāwai often provide shorter stays or respite care for tamariki and rangatahi over weekends or from one to two weeks.
We are happy to kōrero more with you to see what you could provide in this space.
Our team will support you and meet with you regularly over the period that you are providing respite.
Training and meetings will often occur during the day/week, so some flexibility to be available to attend is essential.
We need respite caregivers who are able to provide stable and consistent respite support for our tamariki and rangatahi, so ideally, we are looking for someone who is willing to commit to an ongoing respite role.
