Requirements:

No experience? No problem! All you need is a big heart and a few key qualities to thrive in these roles:

  • Stellar communication skills to connect with people.
  • A kind, caring, and compassionate nature.
  • Sensitivity to support those who are unwell.
  • A genuine passion for helping others.
  • Good physical fitness—get ready to rack up those steps!
  • NZ citizenship or a valid work visa.
  • A full police check (we’re all about safety).
  • Medical clearance, vaccines, and immunisation (hospital-dependent).
  • Mask fit testing to keep everyone protected.
  • Must be 18 or older to join the fun!

Time commitment:
  • Give just four hours of your time each week or fortnight—it’s flexible and fits around you!
  • Shifts vary between hospitals and care facilities, so there’s plenty of variety.
  • We’re looking for volunteers who can stick with us for at least 12 months—it’s all about building connections and making a lasting impact!
