In this role, you will help adult students with the areas that often need support in English speaking, listening, and writing, so if you have knowledge about these, please consider applying!

We also provide references after the candidate has volunteered for 3 months to support your applications for jobs, scholarships, study, etc.

Requirements:

Proficient in the English language

  • Ability to help coach the students with English - Must have lived in NZ for more than a year and have some understanding of the NZ school system
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
  • Friendly, reliable, and compassionate Bonus
  • Experience in ESOL education
  • A genuine interest in helping refugee and migrant students to succeed

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

ROC Connect sessions are held on Wednesday and Friday at the Refugee Orientation Centre Trust Office, 63 Kent Street, Frankton, from 4pm until 6pm.
