  • We are currently looking for volunteers to join the Vinnies team, who can spare a minimum of 4 hours or more a week here at our Glenview store.

  • This is a great opportunity to learn new retail skills including point of sale, customer service, merchandising, and retail shop work in a great team based environment.

  • You could be involved in a variety of roles here at Vinnies from refreshing the stock, keeping the shop clean and tidy, customer service, and working on the till.

  • Organisation Overview - St Vincent de Paul in New Zealand tackles poverty in all its forms through the provision of practical assistance to those in need. We rely on volunteers to help us provide vital support to the community.

Requirements:
  • This role is perfect for someone who loves retail or is eager to learn.
  • A good standard of conversational English is required, along with reliability, punctuality, and multitasking skills.
  • You should be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • We’d ideally like someone who can commit to at least 3 months in this role; retail experience is preferred, but full training will be provided.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • Commitment to at least one shift per week, with the option to take on more if available.
  • Saturday shifts: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
