Bureau Receptionist - Te Awamutu

Te Awamutu

We have a new volunteer role in our busy CAB. We are seeking volunteers who will work in a support role providing receptionist services on days when we host our Justice of the Peace Clinics. This receptionist work will also cover front desk duties and answering the phone for our volunteer Client Interviewers who are working with clients.

There will be an induction session on the duties required as well as the roles and routines of the Citizens Advice Bureau.

This volunteer position would be a good stepping stone to becoming a Client Interviewer for anyone unsure about committing to this role from the outset. It would also suit someone who wants to volunteer but has less time available.

Requirements:

Volunteers will need to enjoy working with people and have a welcoming and respectful manner when dealing with the wide range of people who come to the CAB for assistance.
Good communication skills are needed.
Computer skills are an advantage, although not imperative.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Ideally we would like one four hour duty a week on either Monday, Wednesday, or Friday mornings.
However, we are happy to be flexible for anyone with less time available and can also offer a fortnightly or monthly duty.

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
