As a volunteer, you will:
During the school term, our GGNZ leaders:
No experience is needed, but we need reliable volunteers, and previous experience working with youth is an advantage.
GirlGuiding New Zealand’s health and safety policy also has requirements around adult-to-child ratios, so we require you to be older than 18.
We are currently recruiting for two units which are:
Putaruru Guides and Rangers Guide Club - Located in Putaruru, meets on Monday’s 6 - 7:30 pm during school term time
Tokoroa Pippins and Brownies Guide Club - Located in Tokoroa, meets on Wednesday’s 3:30 - 5 pm during school term time
Aside from the weekly meetings, there are the occasional events or camps held on weekends, and some planning time is required, so you can expect to Volunteer between 2-4 hours per week.
We also require a minimum six-month commitment.
