Te Awamutu Riding for the Disabled is a successful community organisation providing much needed and valued programmes for those with a disability - offering lifechanging opportunities and experiences. We are on the hunt for someone who would enjoy leading our organisation.
Leading an organisation is not just about performing the right tasks at the right time - you need to understand the goals and objectives of the organisation - and the "Why". Te Awamutu Riding for the Disabled has strong support in the community and provides a wonderful service to all who engage with our services. We are a supportive group of people who work collaboratively to ensure the sustainability of the group. Our existing President will mentor, guide and advise through an induction period.

Requirements:

Ideally you have strong people skills, are a good communicator and motivator and also a good sense of humour!
You will be working with a harmonious team where everyone's skills and experience are valued and utilised well.
The ability to manage your time well, work to deadlines and provide structure, is essential.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

We meet once a month - 11 times a year. Ongoing tasks that arise from meetings may take 1-2 hours a week and include such things as agenda preparation, liaising with the volunteers/committee, and ensuring we meet the requirements of our charter and contact with NZRDA Head office.
