Love good coffee and great community vibes? We’re on the lookout for 5 awesome volunteer Baristas to join our Community Café team!

We're all about manaakitanga – creating a welcoming space where people can connect, relax, and recharge. Whether it’s before an appointment or just for a friendly catch-up, we’re here to serve with heart.

What You’ll Do:

  • Greet and welcome visitors with a warm smile
  • Make consistently great coffee
  • Keep the cafe clean and tidy during shifts
  • Create an inviting space for visitors to relax, have a cuppa or just to socialise.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A friendly, approachable personality
  • Basic coffee-making skills
  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Reliable and punctual with good work habits

Requirements:
  • Experience in cafes/hospitality with a Barista training certificate preferred, but not essential.
  • Must be friendly, reliable and able to work cooperatively in a team.
  • Resilient, positive and people-oriented team player with a natural ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • A clear communicator, both verbally and written.
  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand.

You will be required to do a Ministry of Justice check prior to starting, but we are flexible with life's mistakes.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • Minimum of ONE shift per week.
  • Shifts are from 9am-1pm, every weekday from Monday-Friday.
