Leader / Sidewalker

Our leaders and side walkers arrive an hour before our first session to get all the tack out, bring horses in, groom and tack up before the first class.
Depending on each person's skill level, you will lead a horse in a session or help with a rider by way of side walking.
You may be assigned to make sure each horse is ready for the next class, help with keeping the horse arena clean and tidy, help fit helmets to riders, and assist the coach at the mounting ramp.

Our session times are Tuesday to Fridays 8.30am - 1pm. If you have availability within those hours, we'd love to hear from you. Start times are negotiable - there is lots of flexibility within our session timing.

Requirements:

No prior experience necessary as full training given - 'the RDA way'.
Must be reasonably confident with horses.
Ideally you are friendly, caring and encouraging - able to work well within a team.
Good communication skills.
A reasonable level of fitness required as we do a lot of walking and some running while leading a horse at the trot.

Time commitment:

At least one morning a week however we can work with the times you may have available.
