We are currently looking for volunteers to join the Vinnies team in 2022 who can spare a minimum of 3 hours a day. We need someone on Monday, Wednesday and Friday but days can be negotiable.
The role will be with our rescue/ food recovery team. We rescue edible and reusable food and supports its redistribution across Hamilton.
You must be reliable and able to work cooperatively in a small team environment.
You need to have lots of common sense and be prepared to follow the guidelines and processes required to complete the tasks - this ensures your safety and the quality of the food we rescue.
Preferably we would like someone who has a wiliness to make a 3+ month commitment to this role.
This role involves heavy lifting so you must be reasonably fit.
Previous food handling experience would be helpful- but not essential as we will provide all necessary training.
Must be double vaccinated and also need to be able to pass a Police check.
Must have a full drivers license.
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
Weekdays, preferably Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Between 9am to 1pm but can be negotiable.
