Pick Up/Delivery Assistant

Help our Family Store raise much needed funds to support essential services in Waihī. You will work closely with our van driver by helping to move furniture and larger items in and out of the van. You will help with positioning items in the store for sale. Your assistance with navigating and directing into tight parking spots will be invaluable. Enjoy getting out and about in Waihī and working with a nice team of friendly people.

You will get a lot of satisfaction from interacting with members of the public who want to know their donated items are appreciated - or who are welcoming a new purchase into their home.
Your role is to assist with the driver picking up donations and delivery sales on a Wednesday, maybe other days required but that is arranged with Store Manager.

You need to have common sense and be physically able to lift and move furniture. This is always done safely - we do not expect you to go beyond your capability.
Being able to interact with members of the public is also an advantage.
We would like you to be friendly and a team player.
Someone who is trustworthy and reliable would be great for this role.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
