Raglan Growers Market

Raglan

The Raglan Growers (RGM) market is a weekly event every Friday 4-7pm. The RGM is a joint venture between Whāingaroa Environment Centre (WEC) and iHub Raglan.
Our objective is to create a flourishing market where local growers can bring homegrown produce to the wider community, strengthening community food resilience and well-being, supporting the local food grower economy, and contributing to environmental health.

We are looking for volunteer/s who can welcome visitors to the growers market and help with set up at 3pm and pack down at 7pm. Your tasks will include greeting visitors, helping to keep a tally count of visitors, reporting any H&S issues to the RGM manager, and assisting with set up and pack down.
As part of the awesome team of volunteers making this weekly event happen you will also be on site first hand to see what produce is available and in season! Stall holders change every week so there is always a variety of produce on offer!
Training will be given, and we will support you to do your role well. If you are looking to join a friendly team and meet lots of interesting people - this is the role for you!

Requirements:

Ideally you will have good communication skills with a minimum standard of conversational English. Customer service experience would be good, but not essential as training will be given. We are looking for reliable volunteers who will enjoy interacting with the diverse range of people that visit our growers market.
You will be matched to tasks based on your capabilities and interests - some of the tasks are a bit more physical, others not so much.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Shift opportunities are available weekly every Friday afternoon and are approximately 3-4 hours each shift. Set up is at 3pm and pack down is at 7pm.

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
