Waikato Equitherapy Incorporated provides horse riding and horse interaction to children and adults with special needs in Hamilton and the surrounding Waikato area. It has a dedicated volunteer team, committed staff and an excellent team of therapy horses. Our special needs riders benefit physically, emotionally and socially from their time at the Centre. We all enjoy seeing the weekly progress our riders make, and the confidence and pleasure they gain from their time at the Centre. Waikato Equitherapy also benefits the volunteers, those on work experience and the children who attend the holiday programs; the Centre is a place where people feel they can belong, get support and experience a sense of community.
