Retail and Donation Services Assistant - Hamilton

We’re looking for friendly volunteers to assist customers, process sales, and help sort and price donations in our retail store.

  • You will greet customers with a warm welcome and assist them in accessing reasonably priced goods throughout the store.
  • As a cashier, you’ll be responsible for serving customers and processing sales.
  • You will also help the team sort and organize incoming donations.
  • Flexibility is key, as you’ll move between the retail counter and donation areas, pricing items and displaying them on the shop floor.
  • Training will be given with regard to handling cash, although experience would be a bonus.
Requirements:
  • Must enjoy being with the public, friendly, welcoming
  • Good time management
  • Quick learner
  • Attention to detail
  • Enjoys working within a small team
  • Able to be flexible with counter work and pricing

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

We have varying hours and days available at all four of our stores. Please state which store you prefer to volunteer at and the hours/days you are available.
