Love being part of something beautiful?
Come and lend a hand at this year’s Daltons National Rose Show hosted by the Waikato Rose Society at the Hamilton Gardens Pavillion from 7th-9th November 2025! This vibrant, colourful event celebrates the very best of New Zealand’s roses — and we need a few extra hands to help make it bloom.

What You’ll Be Doing:

We’re looking for friendly, able-bodied volunteers to assist with:

  • Setting up and packing down the event space (tables, chairs, coverings, etc.).
  • Keeping the Pavilion tidy and welcoming throughout the event.
  • Helping with light cleaning such as vacuuming and rubbish/recycling duties.

You’ll be working alongside our Show Managers and fellow volunteers, who will guide you through what’s needed. No experience required — just a positive attitude and a willingness to help!

Requirements:
  • Physically able to set up and pack down tables and chairs and other equipment e.g. table coverings.
  • Able to follow instructions and work well in a team.
  • You will need to wear closed toe shoes for this role.
Time commitment:
  • 7th November - 12.00pm-4.00pm or thereabouts.
  • 8th November - 8.30am-12.00pm or thereabouts.
  • 9th November - 3.30pm-6.00pm or thereabouts.

*You can do one or more shifts over the weekend depending on your availability. Please contact Janice McKeany 0279476500 if you need to discuss timings.

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
