Op Shop Assistant – Be Part of Something Local
Are you based nearby and looking for a way to stay active, meet new people, and support your local community? Join our welcoming team at the Op Shop—just around the corner! Perfect for those who enjoy friendly company, gentle activity, and giving back close to home.

Our shop is a warm, friendly place where donated goods are given a second life. The work we do helps fund essential services in the community and supports local families—all while helping reduce waste and protect our environment.

Whether you’ve worked in shops before or are simply happy to lend a hand, we’d love to have you with us. Full support is provided, and there’s always time for a cuppa and a chat.

What you might help with:

  • Greeting and chatting with customers
  • Using the till (training provided)
  • Sorting donations or tidying shelves
  • Creating simple displays

You can volunteer as little or as often as suits you—we’ll work with your schedule. No heavy lifting or rushing around, just a friendly, respectful space where everyone pitches in and feels part of something good.

You’ll be helping to:

  • Reduce waste and support local families
  • Keep valuable items out of landfill
  • Strengthen community connections

Everyone is welcome.
