Video Editor / ROC Videographer - Hamilton

ROC supports former refugees in successfully integrating into the Waikato community through educational and empowerment programmes. We are looking for a dedicated Volunteer Videographer to help us tell our story. This role involves filming and editing high-quality videos of our programmes, community events, and outreach initiatives to promote our services and connect with vulnerable refugee communities online.

What You'll Do:

  • Film ROC's programmes, events, and initiatives as needed.
  • Edit raw footage into engaging, polished videos suitable for digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with staff to plan content that aligns with communication goals.
  • Ensure all videos are culturally sensitive and reflect ROC’s values.
  • Optimize videos for social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and website.

Requirements:
  • Video production & editing experience.
  • Good level of experience working with current professional editing software.
  • Well-organised with the ability to show initiative.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are desired.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • About 4-5 hours a week, depending on workload
  • Weekly meetings with Programme Coordinators to plan filming schedule.
